CfBT Brunei Darussalam currently manages and supports approximately 200 teachers in state primary and secondary schools in Brunei.
Highlights:
Tax free salary package (B$36,600 - B$54,000), completion of contract bonus of one sixth of salary, flight and baggage allowances, free or heavily subsidised accommodation, orientation course on arrival, free Cambridge In-Service Certificate in English Language Teaching Certificate course, interest free car loan, settling in allowance, education allowances for school aged children (secondary only), spouse allowance (secondary only).
Qualifications / Skills Needed:
We are looking for qualified primary and secondary teachers, who have also had some experience teaching children for whom English is a second language, to teach English in government schools in Brunei. To meet Bruneian Ministry for Education approval all applicants must be native English speakers who have gained their education and training in one of the following countries: United Kingdom, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Republic of Ireland and South Africa.
Secondary teachers: Degree (preferably in English, Linguistics, Humanities), qualified teacher status ie Post Graduate Certificate of Education, Bachelor of Education degree or Diploma of Teaching, and three years teaching experience including some secondary and EFL teaching. Current driving licence required and all applicants must be willing to drive. Brunei Government age restriction is below 55 years on initial engagement.
Primary teachers: Degree and PGCE or Diploma of Teaching and TEFL/TESOL qualification. Minimum three years experience for degree holders and five years experience for non-graduate teachers. Current driving licence required. Brunei Government age restriction is below 52 years on initial engagement.
